Happy Easter!

Olivia was so excited Easter morning to see that the Easter bunny had come to our house! She kept telling everyone that the Easter Bunny was going to bring her candy and he sure did! Her favorite is the chocolate bunnies! Olivia was so excited to see him at the mall the week before, she ran up and gave him a big hug! Of course we got a cute picture on his lap! She got to dye eggs twice, once at Grammy and Pappy's house and then home with Mommy and Daddy. She was really into it this year, even liked to dye some eggs twice! We went to my parent's house on Easter and Olivia did great on the egg hunt! They were all filled with candy or little animal figurines, mostly sea animals such as crabs and sharks! She was so excited opening all her eggs! After receiving more Easter baskets and presents, we ate a delicious prime rib dinner cooked by Grammy and enjoyed ourselves by spending time with everyone! Even though it's a few days after Easter, Olivia still goes to her basket every morning looking thru all her gifts and candy, maybe she thinks the Easter bunny will come again!

Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head!

Who can turn a boring rainy day into an exciting afternoon adventure? No one but Grammy, or "Mimi" as Olivia calls her! They bundled up in their raincoats and boots and spent about an hour jumping in puddles, opening their mouths to the falling raindrops, and even making friends with some worms! When Olivia found a worm, she would tell Grammy "Aya touch it". With no fear at all, she would simply pick one up and then laugh as she chased her Mimi around with it! They had the time of their lives out there, we aren't sure who had more fun, Grammy or Olivia?? Olivia was so excited and Grammy said she would never forget that day! As soon as we go over to their house now, Olivia says "Play in the rain?" So even on nice sunny afternoons, Olivia wants her matching Froggy raincoat and boots on and she and Mimi go outside and play!

I'm a Big Girl Now!

I probably shouldn't be talking about this since I will probably jinx us, but Olivia has been in her "big girl" bed for 10 days now and she is doing awesome! I was scared to death taking her out of her crib but she is doing incredibly well, going to sleep on her own and sleeping thru the nights. Of course she sleeps with about half a dozen stuffed animals and a ladybug that puts stars and a moon on the walls and ceiling! We must never forget those!! When Randy was putting the bed together, she was watching while holding her Mickey Mouse doll saying "Look Mickey, it's a big girl bed!" Every time she walks in the room she says, "Oh, so pretty!" I can only hope our luck continues, I guess she was ready before Mommy was ready!
